Many people have asked whether there is a way to present the Bible stories in the Qur'an alongside the biblical versions (like a parallel Bible). Doing that would allow Bible believers to compare the accuracy of the Qur'an on biblical issues. To our knowledge, this has never been done before because the Bible stories in the Qur'an do not always follow the same order of events or storyline as in the Bible. However, we have come up with a way for you to read each of the so-called Qur'anic Bible verses with commentary explaining, in simple terms, some of the more complicated verses. When appropriate, we allow you to compare what the Bible actually says with the Qur'an's version. BONUS: We also include a table with a complete list of sûrahs and the order in which they appear in the Qur'an, along with a list of the order in which Muhammad actually received them. Now you can easily find, when dealing with conflicting verses in the Qur'an, which verse abrogates or replaces another. Sometimes the Qur'an combines unrelated stories, people, and events into a single narrative. By using the Bible, rather than drawing on our opinions, you can compare the Bible with those biblical stories being presented in the Qur'an and judge for yourself if the Qur'an is accurate or not. We present only selected sûrahs because if we had reproduced the entire Qur'an along with commentary and corresponding Scriptures from the Bible, it would have been between 1,500 and 2,000 pages. To make this book affordable and provide the most sûrahs (over 700 verses) in a 500-page format, we selected sûrahs geared toward the average Bible believer's interests. Read more
